Directors and Key Staff


Directors

Alex Forcke (Chairman)

Mr Forcke (42), B Comm (Accounting and Finance), MAICD, is a public company executive with extensive financial and commercial experience in both the resources and investment banking industries.

From 1998 to 2003, he was an Executive Director of ARC Energy Limited (“ARC”) and was responsible for directing ARC's financing, commercial and business development programs. Mr Forcke continued as a Non-Executive Director of ARC until September 2005 when he resigned from that board. Prior to ARC, Mr Forcke had established a career in project finance and investment banking with major international and Australian financial institutions.


Chris Hodge (Managing Director)

Mr Hodge (56), MSc, DIC, F Fin, is a qualified geologist and petroleum geophysicist with extensive experience both in Australia and overseas. In addition to a variety of senior technical roles, he has held managerial positions in major petroleum E&P companies where he played a significant role in substantially growing their asset base through a mix of successful exploration and acquisition. He is a member of PESA, SEG and the AAPG and a former President of the PESA and ASEG NSW State branches.


Eric C. Streitberg (Non-Executive Director)

Mr Streitberg (59), B Sc (App Geoph), has extensive experience in petroleum geology and geophysics, petroleum exploration and production company management. He has held the position of Managing Director of ARC since 1997 during which time ARC has been transformed from a junior oil and gas exploration company with limited financial resources into a profitable, mid size Australian oil and gas producer. He is a Fellow of the AusIMM and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of the SEG, PESA and the AAPG, a Certified Petroleum Geologist of the AAPG, a former member and Vice Chairman of the APPEA Council, and Chairman of the Marine Parks & Reserves Authority.

Graham D. Riley (Non-Executive Director)

Mr Riley (55), B.Jur LL.B (UWA), is a qualified legal practitioner having gained his Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Jurisprudence Degrees. After 10 years legal practice as a partner of a commercial firm in Perth, he resigned to pursue private interests in the resources and exploration sector, where he continues to act in various non-executive capacities. Mr Riley is also Chairman of Giralia Resources NL (Director since 1998) and Red Hill Iron Limited (Director since November 2005). He was a Non-Executive Director of ARC from 1993 to 2005.

Key Staff/Advisors

Pursuant to various agreements with ARC, Adelphi has access to ARC's technical, financial and administrative staff, including:-

William (‘Bill') Ashby (Exploration Manager)

Mr Ashby (48), B. App Science Geophysics, Grad Dip, is a geophysicist with over 23 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry in Australia, SE Asia as well as North and South America. During his career he has held senior exploration and management positions in a number of companies including Ampolex/Mobil, Conoco-Phillips and of late with Sun Resources NL where he held the position of Managing Director.   Member of the following professional bodies PESA, ASEG, SEG & AAPG.

 

Kirsten Scheffer (Company Secretary)

Kirsten Scheffer (37), BA, LLB, H Dip Tax (South Africa) was appointed to the position of Company Secretary on 3 October 2006. She is a qualified solicitor with over 10 years post admission experience in South Africa in both practice and in-house roles. Prior to admission in NSW and WA she worked as Legal Manager within the Project Finance division of The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited in Johannesburg. Kirsten is also Legal Councsel to ARC Energy Limited (since January 2006).



David Burt (Exploration Consultant)

David Burt (Dip App Geol) is a Geoscientist with over 40 years experience in the Australian and International Oil and Gas industry. After a long foundation career with Shell in Australia, he spent 11 years overseas as Senior Explorationist in Indonesia and Exploration Manager in the  United Kingdom for Union Texas Petroleum. On return to Australia in 1991 he was Exploration Manager for Hardy Petroleum until 1993. Mr Burt has conducted a successful consulting business since 1993 carrying out various operational and new ventures exploration projects for companies including Hadson, Discovery and Arc Energy in Australia and for Union Texas, ARCO and Korean National Oil Co in Indonesia . Mr Burt has been an Exploration Consultant  to Adelphi Energy since March 2005.

 

Mark Fabian (Reservoir Engineer)

Mr Fabian, B Eng (Hons), has 25 years experience as a petroleum reservoir engineer. He has held the position of Petroleum Engineering Manager with ARC since late 2003, responsible for reservoir management of ARC operated oil and gas fields. Prior to ARC, Mr. Fabian had established a career in reservoir engineering with companies such as Newfield, Mobil E&P Australia, Santos and Canadian Occidental. He is a member of the SPE, and former licensee of APEGGA.
